We have a fearful dog, Lou, who also has some handling sensitives. BBF treated Lou with compassion and patience over the course of her Train To Groom program. Lou went from being scared to go into the building to being excited to see the staff each week! Squish has been going to brilliant best friends for his whole life. He started with a puppy socializing class, then moved to the train to groom program and now attends daycare with his bulldog sister. Each program Squish was in helped him develop into the well-rounded, polite happy-go-lucky dog he is today. I'd say the biggest influence on him was the train to groom program. Because he learned to associate everything with positive experiences, what he learned in the program translated into his everyday life. The vet loves how easy he is to handle as everything is easier with him, from jumping up on the table to getting shaved for an iv he is happy and willing to do so. We usually leave the grooming up to the professionals, but we also had to bathe him recently for our first time. We just opened the shower, and he cooly walked in had his bath got out with no stress. For as long as BFF is around, all our dogs will go there, and they are always the first we recommend to our friends. We are so thankful for all the work they have done with our fur babies.

When our dog Bernard was only a few months old, we brought him to Nadia at Brilliant Best Friends for his first grooming appointment. He was pretty rambunctious and reactive, and needed extra help and training to be comfortable with getting groomed. Nadia put in the time - over a couple of days - to show Bernard that he didn’t have anything to be scared of! We are grateful that she had the patience and the expertise to deal with our grumpy guy. I don’t think anyone else would have worked with him to make him feel at ease during the grooming experience. He is now excited to go to BBF to get a fresh cut every couple of months - and comes back looking as handsome as ever!
